Who I am & how to contact me

Hi, I’m Robin Jiménez, the owner of http://www.robinjnewman.com

I try to collect the least amount of your personal data on this website. But feel free to contact me at hello@robinjnewman.com if you have any questions or requests.

What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Contact form & Google reCAPTCHA

By using the contact form, I receive your full name, email and the message you send in order to be able to answer it. Your information is not stored on this website.

I use Google reCAPTCHA so as to check the origin of the contact form submissions and to avoid spam and abuse. The service includes the sending of the IP address and possibly other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. Additional information about Google reCAPTCHA and Google’s privacy policy can be found at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, I will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, I will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who I share your data with

By using my contact form, your data is shared with Google reCAPTCHA. Check the privacy policy and terms, found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

How long I retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
